Delivery time is dependent on many factors including the type of item requested and where it is coming from. Physical items, such as books and audio/visual material, coming from another Kentucky library may arrive by courier service. Currently, the courier only delivers on Tuesday. Courier service can be delayed due to weather conditions and holiday closings. If the item is coming from a library outside of Kentucky, it is usually delivered by mail. Mail delivery can take up to two weeks or more. Items such as journal articles, if available as a PDF, may be delivered electronically to your Brescia email. In cases such as this, you may receive your request in a more timely manner.

Speed of delivery is dependent on the other library fulfilling our request. Our interlibrary loan manager processes each request immediately upon receipt. It is our intent to provide resources to our students as quickly as possible. It is imperative that the research process begins as quickly as possible in case there is an unforeseen delay.
